The new report of the World Steel Association indicates a 12.8 percent growth in Iran’s crude steel production in the first 11 months of this year compared to the same period last year. The growth of Iran’s steel production by about 13% took place while in the first 11 months of 2020, the production of crude steel in the world experienced a decrease of 1.3%.
According to the report of Fara Teh Foolad Company, the statistics of the World Steel Association also show that Iran’s crude steel production in November this year increased by 14.1% compared to the same month last year and reached 2.575 million tons. The significant increase in Iran’s crude steel production in November coincided with a 6.6 percent increase in world crude steel production in this month compared to the same month last year.
During the first 11 months of 2020, Iran produced 26 million 369 thousand tons of crude steel, which shows a growth of 12.8 percent compared to the figure of the same period last year (23 million 385 thousand tons).
1.3% decrease in crude steel production in the world
According to the report of the World Steel Association, 64 steel producing countries produced 1 billion 670 million 396 thousand tons of crude steel from the beginning of January to the end of November this year, which is more than the crude steel produced in the same period last year (1 billion and 691 million and 851 thousand tons), shows a decrease of 1.3 percent.
The amount of crude steel production in the world increased by 6.6% compared to the same period last year and reached 158 million 261 thousand tons in November.
One of the important points of the report of the World Steel Association is that China’s crude steel production (the world’s largest steel producer) has reached 87.7 million tons in November this year with an increase of 8% compared to the same month last year. The growth rate of China’s crude steel production in the first 11 months of this year was 5.5%.
Japan’s crude steel production in November has experienced a 5.9% decrease and South Korea’s crude steel production has experienced a 2.4% decrease compared to the same month last year. India’s crude steel production increased by 3.5% in November.
European Union crude steel production in November increased by 5.5% compared to the same month last year. American crude steel production in November has experienced a 13.7% decrease compared to the same month last year.
Turkey’s crude steel production increased by 11.6% in November, and in the first 11 months of this year, the country’s crude steel production increased by 4.9% compared to the same period last year.
